Proudly rooted in the heart of Midvale, Idaho, A-C Livestock is a family-run operation founded by Austin and CJ Barnett. With deep agricultural roots and a shared passion for livestock and the land, Austin and CJ have dedicated their lives to raising high-quality Red Angus cattle and show pigs.

Austin grew up on his family’s ranch in Midvale, spending his days alongside his parents, managing his own herd and working the hay fields. His love for ranching was cultivated from a young age and continues to drive the work he does today. CJ was raised in Weiser, where her FFA SAE project in 2013 blossomed into a successful 10-sow farrow-to-wean hog operation that helped put her through college. Together, Austin and CJ bring a combined depth of experience in livestock management and land stewardship, each holding Associate Degrees in Crop and Soil Science from Treasure Valley Community College. CJ furthered her education with a Bachelor's Degree from Oregon State University.

Since their marriage in 2021, Austin and CJ have worked tirelessly to expand and improve their livestock facilities, successfully relocating and growing their hog operation in Midvale. Today, Austin manages the daily ranch operations full-time — overseeing haying, feeding, breeding, calving, farrowing, and the overall care of the livestock — while CJ, a full-time bookkeeper, handles record keeping, marketing, advertising, and helps with daily ranch work and farrowing.
